Best Café in Zetland/Waterloo hands down. ONA Coffee and the Best Bacon Egg Roll in Sydney. My wife is a Granola connoisseur and she’s claiming it’s also the best she’s had in Sydney. Kudos to the Chef. All I can fault is that I’d love a physical menu instead of the QR code but apart from that it’s great!

On a sunny winter morning—after a sleep-in, a light hangover, and some reflection on the night before—my missus suggested brunch at Ginger, a nearby café that’s usually closed when we’re out dining in the area. Honestly, I don’t remember seeing it before. After reading a mix of reviews, we figured we’d give it a go. It was a short walk from home, and by the time we arrived, it was more like lunch. Luckily, they were still serving breakfast, and the all-day menu made choosing a bit tricky (in a good way). As usual, I was on the hunt for a decent local eggs Benny. Sadly, I found out the hollandaise is from a jar, not house-made. That ruled it out for me, so I went with something else. What We Ordered: • Smashed Avo – Fresh, but quite bland. It really needed a sprinkle of salt, which wasn’t on the table. I didn’t ask, so that’s partly on me. • Baked Eggs – My missus makes an incredible version at home, so it’s always hard for any café to compete. This was good, but not great—no surprises there. The Experience: • Coffees were solid—no complaints. • We had a sunny spot outside, which was lovely. • Ordering was via QR code and app, which worked smoothly. • Food came out promptly, and the staff were friendly. • Pricing was reasonable for the area. Final Thoughts: While it didn’t blow us away, it was a nice local spot for a casual brunch, and we’d probably drop in again to try something different next time.

Enjoyed the most wonderful breakfast here, our first day in Sydney. The service was fantastic, the decor and aesthetic was exquisite! Great attention to detail from the rice in the salt shaker, to the quality butter. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed food and drinks in Little Ginger cafe. Butterfly Pea is a mocktail that tasted sweet and sour, it is super good! Lotus Biscoff Milkshake is so creamy and zesty! House green salad is very refreshing with lime juice added in, I love avocado, cucumber and cherry tomatoes. Squid Ink Seafood Spaghetti is sensational! The creamy sauce with black squid ink spaghetti and big prawns is so delectable! I love Crispy Fried Chicken burger as it is scrumptious! It is a great place to eat brunch or simply having a coffee and enjoy the leisure time.

A local cafe with a simple decor. I grabbed a quick hot chocolate on the go. Staff were inviting and the chocolate was made quickly. Price was it was similar to the local competitors, but with more indoor seating. Will come by again in the future to try their other food menu.
